Acid Bate.Should i be afraid to try it?

I have a Bison cape to do and read about acid bate.I got some but i'm afraid i might,or it may do something to my cape!I've tan a good many hides,but never tried the batteing. Is there a risk factor useing it?

Commercial tannery

I would not even attempt to do a bison cape at my shop. They are way to
large for home tanning. Leave it to a tannery to do the big stuff.

Acid Bate

i've used acid bate on a lot of different animals with no
problems. You'll have problems sortening and shaving a
buff hump without it.And yes i do buff myself just rig
a block and tackle to help lift out of your pickle, tan,
ectera. good luck James
