Blades for Dakota II flesher

Submitted by Ritchie on 4/18/01. ( ) 216.12.55.190

I would like to have a local tool grinding company(Raymar) sharpen my
fleshing wheels. I left them with them ,but they have never sharpened
fleshing wheels. I would like to try to get them sharpening
instructions and would appreciate any info on how to contact the
manufacturer and also a source to buy replacement wheels & parts.
Thanks in advance for any replies.

Probably a Waste of Time

I've spent enough time around machine shops, I can tell you they don't have a tool to sharpen a blade. They have enough equipment that they can get the job done, but by the time they rig everything up, you'll pay through the nose because of the hours involved.

Unless you're going to buy blanks in volume, you won't get a knife maker to deal with you either, so you'll need to just get them from someone who deals in them already. If you are going to use the volume needed to deal with a manufacturer, then you should probably get a grinder specifically made for sharpening the blades.
