Here's my formula!

This is my own Rittels formula for tanning a 7 Lb. cape using Lutan F (N). It's also the one most of my customers prefer.

3.5 Gls. of Water
7 Ozs. of Lutan F (N)
28 Ozs. of Salt

Soak the cape for 16 hours, rinse, drain for 30 minutes and oil.

Lutan-F Formula for 4 Cased Mice?

This response submitted by Mousy on 6/3/01. ( ) 172.149.20.112

I have four domestic mice, freshly cased, fleshed, salted and dried [tonight].

For "mouse skin rugs", my favorite novelty item!

All four together will weigh .2 oz. TOPS when dry.

What is the Lutan-F tanning formula for these fortunate four?

I have also heard that I have to wait 2 weeks between skinning/salting/drying and tanning with Lutan-F. So I ordered the kit today. Meaning I have plenty of time to observe and gather your answers .. :)

Thaks in advance!
