i have a bear hide that i tanned, washed, dried, put the head form in for a rug mount. it sat on concrete unknown to me for a couple of months.does any one know how to get rid of the mold/mildew before i stretch it? its on the inside of the skin. i tried using lysol on it and wiping it down. still there but not spreading.
Try some type of a bactericialcide and use this to kill it. I guess you know what caused the growth,CONCRETE. It always cotains some type of moisture in it and having a hide on well you guessed it mold.
You may not be able to get rid of the stains just kill the mold that's all.
Hopefully Bruce may have a better way.
