Are there any special considerations?
I hear slippage is a factor....
By the way, my buddy, a certain exceptional turkey guy
in Webster, NY, says that "I could get
better results with a box a Borax than to take any of
your tanning tips".....
He wants to see how fast he'll get a phone call!
Again, your advice is priceless and much appreciated
Big Al
Tell our mutual friend - "BoraxMan" - he's been inhaling too much of that Borax - it's time to start wearing a dust mask! Tell Susie to make him do it! LOL!
As to your Gophers - I'm at a loss as to what to say. I have a very good friend though who has dealt with small animals quite a bit, and besides winning a lot of ribbons doing small mammels, he's also a judge! I've contacted him for some ideas - but I'll have to wait for an answer - or maybe put you in touch with him. Either way - periodically check back on this post and I'll let you know what I find out! Sorry - I normally don't tan many Gophers.
Goofed on that one!
Big Al - Contact Kevin Conroy at Kevin's Taxidermy in Middlebury CT. His Phone # is (203) 598-3184. This guy is an exceptionally great Taxidermist on small mammels and particularly young specimens! You may already be familiar with him - he's won a lot of awards with his work, and does a lot of judging!
I've already talked with him and he'd be very willing to talk with you about those Prairie dogs. Just give him a call. I'm sure you'll get some expert advice!
Awesome....that should be a great help!
I'm continually impressed, by the way, with how much info
and advise, you and others in this forum, are willing to share....
You'll never know how much we appreciate it, although stated countless times.
I owe a quarter for your call to Kevin!
