I AM HAVING TROUBLE TANING A FOX,IT WAS NORMALY PICKLED AND EZ100
TANNED AND THE OIL WAS PRO PLUS, THE PELT LOOKED NICE.
I NEVER TUMBLED IT, JUST LET IT DRY UNTIL IT WAS TIME TO MOUNT.
SURPRISE, I SOAKED THE PELT IN WATER WITH SOME SALT BUT WHEN
TRIED TO MOUNT IT THE LEGS WERE TEARED OFF.
DO SOMEONE KNOW WHY?
I HAVE BEEN TRYING THE SAME METHOD ON DEER SUCCESFULY

You could of have some acid swell. Your hide may not off been neturilized long enough or you shaved them to thin. It's only a guess cause we don't have the hide to really say what went wrong.
I also use ez-100 so I do know how it works and I enjoy the tan. I've tanned weasels to life-size deer with it and never had any troubles.
I learned long ago how to tan, but fell a little rusty. Would you please, if you have time, write step by step how to tan so that I know I haven't left anything out before I start.
