I'm leaving for elk camp for 8 days and I have a bear in the pickle bath for the last 3 days. I ordered Eliminator for my degreasing, but hasn't came yet. So i'm using white gas. Do I delute it with water or do I use it straight. I would like to shave the bear before I leave. Or can I shave it and throw it back into the pickle until my solvent arrives? White gas and water don't mix. If it did, I'd be getting 100 mpg on the CURMobile....lol. You can use the gas...OUTSIDE, away from flame..hang to drain and wash in a tub with Dawn to remove the gasoline before bringing indoors. White gasoline is more dangerous than your having your wife and girlfriend in the same carpool. I don't know where you live, but safer solvents are only a WalMart away.

And Matt, I don't know if guys like us answering questions a lot bothers you, but at least we don't waste computer space wondering where everyone gets their money but just to humor you, I don't smoke, don't drink (I'm Cherokee and Indians and firewater never mix either), I too old and senile to chase women and after 12 hours in the shop, the only real enjoyment I get is being on here. Matt, does the term, "Capital Gains" mean anything to you? I am quasi retired. I don't spend all day on here, neither does George or the other regulars. Unlike George, I enjoy a fine cigar, and a glass of quality bourbon or single-malt scotch....and a woman now and then when the fish aren't biting.
The answers I put up here are pretty much spontaneous and off the top of my head. At times I do look up a name or a specific in order to help someone on the forum. (Regretfully, there have been a few times when I should have verified an answer I "thought" I remembered correctly.)
I get a bit of enjoyment out of this forum. I also work. I am a full time painter and artist who uses this forum to relax and break the monotony of events. I work, even though I really don't need to do so. I guess the same could be said of my participation here.
