I can turn the a ear fine but when do you remove the cartilage from it before or after the pickling /tanning. I alwyas rip the ear trying to remove the cartilage.
is when i prefer, but those skins i send out must be done just before i mount
The pickle toughens up the skin.
Would never consider removing cartilage prior to pickle.
