Young Beginner in Tanner/taxidermy needs information

Submitted by Adam on 10/21/01. ( donnabro@enoreo.on.ca ) 216.26.96.247

Does anyone know of directions on tanning for beginners, specifically how to preserve small game such as birds/chipmunks etc. Are there directions for "natural" tanning methods rather than chemical? Can you recommend the best books, best websites etc.? Any advice on the subject would be greatly appreciated.

click on the name to go to his site. i think he has bird tan as well. also www.braintan.com for natural, but i wouldn't advise Brain tanning. natives did it before we had chemicals and that's the only reason. it is alot more work as well. i hope i helped.

I would get a good video on tanning. I like the one by McKenzies. Some one else may give you there choice. If you put a post on the want to buy, some one may have one for sale. Hope this will help. PS look under search at tanning.
