How dry should a deer hide be before "breaking," that was tanned with the WASCO Acid Bath Crystals & Luftan F Process and then oiled with Soft TAn Oil?
joe,
i now use saftee acid and pro plus but i have used lutanf and soft tan and its basically the same......what works best for me is to break while it is drying...as you see sections that are dried begin to work them and continue as the hide dries...i have found it to be much harder to break the hide and get it soft if you let it completely dry ...not that you cant it just requires alot more elbow grease...hope this helps
