I have a lynx hide that was just skinned and dried,it was never salted.I want to tan it using lutan F,do I rehydrate the skin then salt and go from there?what would i use to rehydrate the skin?thanks

i just rehydrated and tanned an air dried lynx 2 weeks ago....to rehydrate i used a salt brine with a relaxer purchased from McKenzie Supply......the relaxer has instructions right on it......... just make brine and soak lynx till completely rehydrated (could take 6 hours to overnight)i then placed directly into pickle and tanned utilizing saftee acid.....came out softer than a babies behind...hope this helps you
