I think I thought of everything to try and use for a fleshing machine but the only thing that works as well as a fleshing machine is another fleshing machine! these blades have a hook on the end about 1/8 to 1/16 of an inch at a right angle to the body of the blade. Plus the fact that you should have little to no wobble in the blade and that is where the expensive bearing systems of the machines really shine. Save your $$$$ and then buy a real machine! You will be glad you did.

Well O.K.

Well it was worth a try anyway.
I didn't know just thought I would ask and see.

Thanks anyway

BUILD YOUR OWN

Anyone can make there own flesher. I used a motor that I had laying around. It did have threads on the end of the shaft. I bought the blade from Van Dykes and also bought the "brass" guards. I used an oversized washer as a guide for the bushing to mount the wheel and framed around the blade with wood. The wood is also where I mounted the "adjustable" blade guards. The only cost I had in it was the blade and guards and a little time (not $800 or $1000+). It takes a little bit of thinking and time but you can do it. Good Luck!
