I use an old knife, and a steel file. get her sharp, then shave,
get her sharp, then shave. Pig skin is pretty tough, stretch the hide over
a 2x4, it will make it easier. If you have flesher, use it, but a knife
is my method of "madness". I am currently working on a chemical to "dip"
the skin into to soften the shield, i'm close, but not there yet.
Best thing to say is, shield is a bugger, charge well
for your time, and dont rush.
And follow the prompt that asks you "what do you want to know". There must be catalogs of information on this particular subject.
a friend brought me a ulu knife back from alaska tried it out on the armor of a hog, worked better than any thing i have found. didn't have to sharpen it until i was through with the hog. you can find the web sight at arctic originls
