Can you make your own fleshing machine steels or is it just best to buy from suppliers. If so, who sells a good steel?

James Edgar of Authenic Supply turned me on to using razor blades for sharpening a couple of years ago. It works like a charm. I alway had a few problems with steels and spoke to him about my problems. He said, "Easy" just us a razor blade to touch up your blade. It works great and I am getting extended life out of my blades. You still need a good lubricant. May be worth a try. Good Luck and I am sure you will get other great suggestions.
