When using a auto tanner, can you use any pickling or tanning solution such as you do when tanning the old fashion way or do you have to use what the manufacturer have for purchase?

You can use either. Some people use EZ-100 by Rittel's and if you contact Steve Rotramel he will send you alternate chemical suppy places(farm supply, grocery store).Bruce also has a EZ-100 tanning instruction sheet.There probably are other, seems like I seen where someone was using one with Luftan.But I would stay with what has been proven to work and save the experimenting for your own hides.
