I live in East Texas. I was just wondering where the nearest tanner located.I am new to taxidermy. I thought about tanning myself or maybe even using D.P. But I have decided to have profesionally tanned that way I can concentrate on the mounting process. I know I need to skin and turn the lips and salt till rock hard. Is there anything else I should do to them before shipping to tanner. I am going to send a couple of deer capes and maybe a bobcat.
