Paul I would recommend that you get a hold of a McKenzie catalog and order the video"FLESHING AND TANNING BASICS"with Mike Gillis and Phil Helms. It is very informative and Mike does a great job demonstrating how flesh and thin a pickled hide using a knife and a fleshing beam plus a whole lot more.If you have any questions E-mail me.
Tim,I to have brain tanned, and it can be a real pain in the butt! But if you stay with it, you can get some amazing results.I dont know of anyone who was perfect on the first time or two out.Bruce Rittel is Mr. Magic when it comes to information, and is great at letting you know quickly what to do.
