tanning hides with liqa tan, rolled hide up over night then ckecked them, they where real wet. almost like watery, drained hides very well before appling liqa tan. not sure, first time trying liqa tan. question : watery, hurt or hinder the tanning process?

Keith, before appling Liquid Tan you should remove as much moisture as possible by drying with towels or tumbling in saw dust. The tan will absorb into a semi damp hide much better giving good penetration. If to much water is present, your deluting the Liquid tan. Roll the cape up in dry towels and squeeze out water and re apply Liquid Tan just to make sure. After 6 to 8 hours do a quick wash and tumble than mount or freeze until your ready to mount.
