Can anyone help me figure out how to clean a natural chamios

Submitted by Wynelle on 2/28/02. ( wynelleu@pacbell.net ) 64.171.2.9

I was washing my car and evidently didn't do a very good job of it. When I dried it off I got a whole lot of greasy dirt on my chamios. I don't have the instructions it came with but I remember it said something about not using anything but water on it. Unfortunately, water won't get the greasy dirt out.

Any ideas on how I could clean it? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

The only thing that removes grease is a good soap. Saddle soap will work, but something like Dawn or stonger will work better. Take warm water and add some Dawn, Scrub the chamois together to free the grease up, rinse in warm water, wring dry and hang up to dry.

I run a Dent Doctor shop where we also do details. All we ever do is use the pressure washer on it. Looks brand new.
