I use approx. 10cc to 4 gal. of water,with 4-5 lbs salt. A bit of bactericide will help.
Do you use 85% - 90% - 95%? It will make a difference on how far a gallon will go! You will use less if you use the 85% - more if you use the 95%. Using 85% I have always used 0.9 fl. ozs. to 1 Lb. of Salt and 1 gallon of Water. So if you figure there are 128 fl. ozs. in each gallon - I can make 142.2 gallons of Pickle with 1 gallon of 85% Formic Acid. I never use Bacteriacide with it.
I should have said - you will use more if you use 85% - less if you use 95%! Sorry!
