Is there a season, Summer, Winter, Spring, or Fall that is better for doing tanning that will help eliminate problems with slippage and do a better tan. What is a good all around temperature for tanning your hides?

To do my salting and tanning during the cooler,less humid months.It is
much easier to get those skins dried hard.This is real important.
