Has anyone had any experence with the new Va.tannerys that have been advertised in, I think Taxidermy Today or Breakthrough Magazines. I believe one is around Charlottesville or Richmond and the other is
Roanoke.
Thinking of giving them a try. Has anyone had any dealings with
them?

I used the one in richmond old Dominion tannery I didn't like the flesh work or the tan at all the hide still had a skim of flesh on it in some places after the tan.iT WAS TANNED BUT NO QUALITY,the one in roanoke is hansteck tannery i think i spelled it right, talked with them at the Va state competition.They've been tanning a long time doing mostly sheep for over seas the market feel out or something like that so there trying are end of the field.They seemed to have it together there samples looked great they vacume seal after tanning no filling the freezer back up or rehidrating and washing all the sawdust out of the hair.I just sent them a bear yesterday half mount so i hope i get back the same quality they brought to the va show.I hope this helps.
