warm water saftee acid salt mixture ok or not ?

just mixed up 1st batch of saftee acid with very warm water and salt
is this water temp and put capes in it going to screw up the capes? help

Hello Mike,
Warm to hot water will desolve the salt better than cold.
Simply be patient and allow the water to reach room temperature.
To throw a green hide or cape into it at this time would frighten me.
And to, you should always check your PH atleast 1 hour before you throw a skins into your pickle, making sure that your PH has remained stable.
Plus, pickling and tanning is best done at room temperature of 70-72 degrees.
