Acid Bate ? Mr. Rittel

Mr. Rittel,

I was wondering on your acid bate product do you need to add more of it after an extended period of time. I generally reuse my pickle 2-3 times. Is the initial amount adequate after the first batch of skins or should I add more with the new batch of skins?

You must re-strengthen it!

If you reuse your pickle - then each time you put a new load into it -you should also add more Acid Bate. Treat it like the former dosage has been depleted. Obviously once you put the Acid Bate in, it is activated - but when it runs out of undissolvable fats to eat, it dies off. It's best when using it to add it, and when you have pulled that load from your pickle - re-strengthen it with another dosage for the next load. Otherwise, it may not be effective.
