Auto tanning

My question is fairly simple.
Has anyone done any sort of test or environment studies to prove that capes tanned in an Auto tanner will hold up for the long term?
If I go with an autotanner, how can I guarantee that mounts will hold up to 10,20, even 30 or more years of heat, cold, humidity.

My opinion...

..may not mean as much as someone elses, but I feel compelled to answer and maybe others will add pros and cons.

The tanning agents used in the automatic tanner are the same ones used in other processes. Using the machine is not rocket science nor is it alchemy. But it isn't popping popcorn either.

The main difference in our process is that we don't recommend salt drying or flint drying if it can be avoided. Sometimes it can't be avoided and that's okay, we can work around it.

Now this is a different opinion than other tanning experts hold. I am not saying that they are wrong, just that my opinion is different.

The proof is in the pudding, and unfortunately the process has not been around for 10, 20, or 30 years. However, skins tanned in the automatic tanner are indistinguishable from skins tanned using longer processes when using the same agents. I induce from that that the skins will exhibit similar longevity.
