Wire Wheel Question

Submitted by Tom D. on 5/3/02. ( ) 205.231.148.42

I recently purchased a wire wheel to defat my birds and small mammals. I know that you are supposed to start at the tail and work towards the head. My question is do you work into the rotation of the wheel or with the rotation. Also is it normal for the wheel to stop while applying pressure sometimws? Thanks in Advance.

it depends on what kind of bird that you have to flesh, do you have the smaller feather flesher or the bigger one, you may want to play with it a bit before fleshing out a customers bird, the best way to flesh a bird that i have found is going across the wheel and the wheel is built to stop if you put to mutch pressure against the wheel. its a safty precuosion,so you dont get hurt . but the best way is to use the wheel as mutch as you can and find the best way thats suits you , good luck,
