How much aluminum sulphate do I use per gal of water in the auto tanner. I use 1/2oz of saftee acid, 1lb of salt and a little bacteriacide. Do I put the alum in with the pickle or after its been fleshed do I add it to the tan. I add the tanning oil after fleshing. Thanks for the help.

Do you want to use it for a pickle or a tan? I use it from tanning. you can over pickle either time wise or to strong. Adjust the pH to 3.5 range up or down a few tenths but in the mid 3's. two hours flesh and give it another 30 minutes, you may need to add salt 2 lbs to prevent acid swelling.
