im about to start my second deer and im going to tan it myself. my first deer i had quite a bit of slippage. its in the high 90's here and i dont have a air cooled shop to work so im in a shop with just a fan. my question is whats the best way for me to stop slippage in this environment. i understand that heat is a main cause of slippage because of the excellerated bacteria growth but what can i do to slow or stop it. thanks

Nothing is going to help but to cool the shop area. I refer to have it cold in the shop summer and winter. Working any animal in the heat is risking problems.
temp isnt that important, if you have your pickle at the right PH.The right ph will stop bacteria growth in its tracks.
Our shop is over 100 degrees some days in the summer, and we have no
problems as long as we keep the pickle PH low enough, and remember you
must stir your pickle frequently. If you don't stir it enough, the
PH will be higher at the top of the tank, where your deer are. Check
the PH at least daily, and adjust. We learned this the hard way.
