A question: I have several chicken pelts I would like to "tan" so I
can use the feathers for fly tying. What would be a good way to do it. Would alum work or stretching the skin, leaving them in the sun to dry. Really appreciate your ideas! Thanks MCM

For longevity, I'd use a apint-on tan like our KWIK-N-EZE product. It's easy to use, and it produces a long lasting leather that has an indefinite shelf-life - perfect for fly-tying materials.
