I have skun, pegged, salted ,fleshed, soaked (using leidrighters tanning solution), wrung out and lubed over 50 feral cat skins and I still dont have one worth displaying. I know you are thinking I must just enjoy the killing part! but the motivation is to end up with some lovely furniture covers, rugs or even coats. Do you break when they are fresh out of the solution and still wet, How much oil and how often do you put it on, and breaking...., why do you need a special log? Isnt a flat table surface still OK.
There is a guy in WA who makes beautiful cat hats. Does anyone know his name? Hes as pretty famous conservationaist.
