Hi everyone
I am looking for information on how to (home)tan an Icelandic sheep Hide. they are a double coated animal and I hear they can not be done quite the same way as normal, due to the undercoat matting easily.
This is what I hear but if anyone can point me in the right direction I would be very happy. I also was told that an Icelandic hide can stretch very far does anyone have ideas about streching them?
If there are any refrences in canada I would be pleased.
