G,day guys I have had three roo skins in the tanning solution for two days now .When i skinned them they hardly had any fat or meat left on theem so I salted them and left them for one month .I havnt fleshed them yet because i am not sure how to do it .what i was going to do tomorrow was drain the skins and get fleshing tool(one provided in kit) and look for any little bits of red meat of fat and get it offer the skin ....is this the correct way? or do i have to run fleshing tool all over skin .I have noticed a little fleshy memebrain over the skin do you take that off too or just the fat and flesh ....thanks guys.

The membrane next to the flesh must be removed "prior" to beginning the tanning process. Usually this is removed even before the skins are salted. If it's not removed - you will get incomplete penetration of the chemicals and your skins will be stiff.
O well I am of the opinion we learn best rom our mistakes .I will drain skins and see how i go in removing therest of the membrain ......The good thing about it though is that here in oz we have plague proportions of roos at the moment and it is so easy toget some more skins .......It is not the desired result i wanted though.lolI do appreciate your help ..without it i would have been guessing in what to do .thanks mate...have a great day
