I'em starting out in tanning, in the passed I have used a plastic or rubber maid tub to tan in. I have a chance to buy some good stainless steel tubs, the kind that are semilar to a sink, I was wondering if these will work for tanning or do I need to stick with the plastic tubs? I mostly use EZ-100 tanning agents.

A bit more expensive than plastic - but Stainless Steel is fine! Just avoid simply Steel. EZ-100 will not react with SS - but it will to other metals, especially Steel. Usually you will see the reaction as a pink to even a deep purple color of the skins - the depth of color depends on the amount of exposed metal.
thanks a bunch for your in put Mr. Rittel your a life saver to the taxidermy forums.
Tom is very correct is talking about the merits of Stainless steel being used for tannery / tanning processing vessels.
Some of the more expensive, high end machinery makers swear by it and it is virtually indestructable, but more costy of course.
Just be careful of some of the acids you use. Sulfuric should be a no-no i would think. Fiberglass is also an excellent choice and has a better thermal insultion property than stainless. Fiberglass mixed with suitable resins can withstand any and all tanning and picking agents being very strong giving many, many years life as well.
