Please send me an email asap and let me know if I can redye some chome tanned leather with rit dye. I want to make an authenic indian dress of the mt man era and chrome tanned leather was not used. I have a beautiful piece of leather and want to make it a tan color but not sure how. Thank you for a quick response.

Tried it and all it did was a rather poor job of surface dying. Won't penetrate. Retan with quebracho and you will get what you want. Buy it from Rittel or Van Dykes.
