home bark tanning recipe

Greetings to all,
I'm a beginner at tanning. Did an alum tan on a split caribou hide with hair on and it came out ok. Also did a mink fur with the same solution. Presently have the skins of four quarters of moose to play with and try different methods etc...have two prepared already....won't want to do a one-piece moose hide as the fleshing and dehairing etc amount to alot of work!
Dumb question: Can an alum/salt tanning solution be used over and over several times and if so how many before it loses its effectiveness?

I am trying to tan a beaver hide. This is my first experience. Can you give me your recipe? Will it work on a beaver hide? What would you suggest? Thanks, Daniel

I just shot a deer and it has a nice hide which i dont want to go to waste. Whats the best way to get the fleash off? Do I use a regular nife? At my attemps with that i've already cut through the skin. Whats the best/seasiet way to do it?

I find that fleshing with obsidian flakes works best.
