I have a pattern of the plains Indian moccasins that only have a single edge sewn. If you're interested in that, email me your mailing address and I'll make a copy of it and send to you.

Will they be good

Will they be good and durable if I use Elk skin or do you think they will wall apart

LOL Tyler

They were good to my ancestors, and they didn't have Reeboks or Nikes. Many fine dress shoes still have leather soles today and it's from cowhide. Elk skin should be just fine.

Thanks

Thanks, My question was pretty dumb, "Will they be good."

I'm going broke on sending out moccasin patterns. If you WANT a drawing of how traditional moccasins were made, send a self addressed, stamped envelope to me at:
The Good Stuff Taxidermy
359 Cypress Branch Road
Magnolia DE 19962
Leave a note as to what you want and I'll be glad to send you a copy. I've had a dozen requests already and I sense this is one of those wannahaves ideas. If the information is worth 74 cents, then I'll be glad to send it along.
