Auto Tanner

I tanned the hide of a deer I killed last year using the standard method. It turned out all right and I used it as a wall hanger. Since then I've had people ask me if I could do the same for them. However, their interested in rugs and perhaps leather for clothing. My question is can the auto tanner work for these processes as well.

The auto tanner works great

for these purposes. Just have to go about your methods a little different 2 obtain a soft, supple tan. But I've done it with everything from Bear to deer, elk, caribou. You don't introduce your oil into the tank, it gets oiled after the tanning process. Works well with either Steves crystals or Knoblochs Para-Tan, and I imagine a slew of others, those are the only two I've used myself

Thanks

Thank you, I'm checking out both of your suggestions for tanning chemicals. For my first one I purchased the chemicals from Jim Allred's taxidermy supply and folowed the instructions in his catalog.
