How many deer capes will the 16 gal tanner hold, and what is the largest hide that will fit in it?
Does anyone kow how I can contact Steve Rotramel, I understand he is the one to talk to about purchasing a tanner.
Thank You

Carl I'm going to take this opportunity to make some announcements. The 16 gallon tank is no longer available; it has been replaced by a 21 gallon tank. The new tank will fit on the old frames by the way.
The 21 gallon tank will easily hold 5 average 18"-19" capes. It will also hold almost any elk cape, small buffalo cape, steer cape, or lifesize bear.
The Magnum Tanner tank is now 45 gallon and will hold any North American and almost any African animal life-size. All are porcelain coated on the inside and best of all, same prices as last year.
Hey Steve,
While your making changes, why not weld a 5 inch piece of rod to nuts that seal the door.
It would :
1.) Save on having to use a wrench to open and close it.
2.) Make them easier to spot when lost or left lying around while capes are pulled out.
3.) Make them easier to fish out when dropped in the tank.

Can be bought from most hardware and yard machine stores. Quick & easy on and off and no wrenches.
I use a $20 air ratchet to get nuts on and off quickly. Takes a 9/16 ratchet.
