I was sent a message along with a dear hide, that a better way to tan, rather than brain tanning was to soak the hide in downy fabric softener, i am doing that now(TO soak three days). i feel like there must be something more i should do. Can some one please email me with this amswer. Thanks Sunshine

Downy?

I sometimes use downy to get more stretch but never to tan. And even if you use it, it should soak no longer than 15 min. You might want to check with some other people but I've never heard of "tanning" with it.

Yes. Read a book on tanning. Search the tanning category. Get a video on tanning. You are in great touch with feelings...Fabric softener is not a tan; read the label!

Caution!

I must agree with Overcast. Fabric softener is not a suitable tanning agent. Contact Rittel's for tanning questions, Bruce IS the man!

Does this sound familiar? To soak a TANNED hide for more stretch or to relax, add some fabric softener? Thats what they told you.
