I just tanned a hide for a customer , I used Liqua Tan and applied it as directed, That very same day had to leave town on a famly emergency, the tanned hide has sat here for 6 days now and have not had a chance to apply oil to it to soften it up. IS IT TO LATE?
CAN I APPLY OIL NOW OR SHOULD I REHYDRATE IT FIRST THEN APPLY OIL?

Anyway;
I don't know the codition of the hide as you spoke of here but before going any futher make sure the hide is totally dried out which should of been those 6 days. After that just rehydrate and then proceed with the oiling and all will been just fine.
