If a customer is going to bring you a fresh whitetail cape is it better to have them salt it and put it in the freezer or to simply put it in the freezer until I get it. Or is there another method I should be doing.I checked the search but must not have worded it right to find the info. I needed. Thanx you-

freeze it but dont salt it first. salt works against the freezing process and makes fleshing harder. a frozen cape will stay in good shape for months.
