Last year i decided to try my hand at tanning a deer hide (with the hair on)i read, read, read.Anyway, i fleshed the hides really good, salted them down and then pickled them in a salt, water, and vingear solution.I was pleased that when i was done that the hides where nice and white. Here is the problem, after i pickled them i decided i would use the aluminum sulphate method to tan them.I had to order the aluminum sulphate from Rittels, so while i was waiting for it to arrive i just threw the hides in the freezer.Needless to say after it arrived i never got around to tanning them. Now it has been a year, is it ok to thaw them out and go ahead and tan them now?

There shouldn't be a problem as long as the hide was frozen and not dried.
