i was just wandering if you can tan a beaver using the lutan-f methide and if so does the tail stay on or off. if tail stays on would you have to do anything to it. any help would be great.

Buy a reproduction tail most suppliers carry them.Take note to any characteristics such as nicks, cut etc., then you can make it look exactly like the one your customer brought to you.good luck
You can tan it right on with the rest of the skin. If you're doing it for a wall hanger, the tail will be somewhat stiff compared to the rest of the skin, but it's tanned just fine. If you do it for a mount, it's plenty flexible for shaping the detail back in.
