I am getting ready to use the Epo-Grip blood out degreaser you suggested and I've been reading in the forum about Well Water having bad effects on safty acid. I'm getting ready to degrease the bear I have been talking to you about. And I have well water.Do you think that makes a difference? Comments from everyone will be helpful. Thanks.

I;m going to hafe to disagree on the well water making that much of a difference . I work at a water treatment plant. and the main thing that can be trouble some with well water is hardness and iron problems
granted city water contains much more chemicals such as cl2, fluoride,causticsoda.alum, but by the time these chemicals are added to the plant they all disipate very much before they travel way out into the distribution system. Of corse most people now aday are adding water softeners to there well water like myself because i also have well water.I can honestly say i havent had any problems
with well water doing anything to my hides .i had read a response about a question where a fella lost all his hair on his fox and thought it was from well water. I;m just finding it very ,very hard to believe this is water causing, hell if thats the case this ole boy is in trouble teeth wise......
Except that hard water does inhibit bubble production and the bubbles have been all but eliminated from Epo-Grip Bloodout Degreaser. Hard water makes the water surface "harder" and it doesn't seem to saturate as quickly. Bubbles are just a visual indicator anyway and do very little if anything in cleaning (ALL washing detergent and all of the dishwasher soaps have no bubbles.) Mix it by volume and don't let it set in there any more than 20 minutes. Make sure you agitate it so there's complete coverage of the skin.
The biggest problem guys have with well water is bacteria. Not ALL well water, but some. THATS the problem, that being a variable. You dont know if itll effect you!
If well water is an issue, then try ELIMINATOR degreaser from Van Dykes. Works great with well water.
