hair slippage on deer?

I salt dried my capes till rock hard, then rehydrated in water, salt, and a capfull of lysol, for about 8 hrs. then let capes drip dry for about 15 mins. mixed up pickle of 4 gallons water,4 lbs salt and 2oz.of saftee acid, ph is above 1 and lower than 2. these capes have been in the pickle now for about 50hrs. I check the ph 3 times daily its good, but I have noticed when I move the capes around in the pickle I have hair pulling loose from the capes.

I plan to shave them down today and tanning with Liqua Tan, MY main concern is will the hair quit slipping once on the form and has dried properly?

As Hawg said, bacteriacide would have been better suited for your rehydration bath, but since the damage may have already been done. Try and be gentle while mounting and grooming, and if it looks like it will be ok. Then chances are it will be, but if the hairs coming out in clumps and patches. Well then, you better notify the customer and arrange for a new cape. Best of luck. Marc R
