And all that addressed my question.I'm not so worried about the well water now. But did you know that minnows wont live in well water. Kills them soon as you put them in.

Man, I don't know what kind of well you have, but I don't think I would drink the water if it kills fish.
When I was a kid, we had a well where the water come to within
6 feet of the top of the ground. After we got "city" water, we didn't use the well anymore. I would catch bluegills, little bass, etc,
whatever I could catch and put in the well. With the exception of turning black from the lack of sunlight, they thrived. I would feed
them bread crumbs, grass hoppers and other bugs, and never had a one to die. After several months, my mom made me catch them and return them to a nearby creek.
Could it be that your wellwater contains too high amounts of sulphur and asphalt? It does happen with shallow wells quite a bit. This could be the reason your minnows are dying off. I would get a good filter on that well of yours and have the water tested.
Dont drink that water!
Check this out I have a well, sometimes late in summer we pull up Bling cave Catfish, crawdads, and use to pull up Blind cave gators, now I know you are goning to say it aint so, but we have sent a few to the U of A, the really.
We add water to or fish tank and do nothing to it, just run a pitcher full and poor it in. Our water is very hard and has a lot of calcium in it.
A local water company even has three wells on our property and they use very little chlorine.
Just down the road 2 miles all they can hit is Sulpher water.
If your well water kills fish, dont drink it.
Could be dead water? Have you tried to splash the water first before the minnow dunking? If nothing else is wrong then it looks like you might have well water from a deep table.
I;m gonna say this agin drinking that water. knowing it will kill minnows as soon as they hit the water? Mkaes you wonder if you dont have a well drilled next to a septic. or maybe possibly your getting run off from a contaminated aquifer? so many possiblities. I would recomend you have your nearist water dept head come and take a grab sample from your home and have it sent to a lab n be tested.
