I tanned a coyote and deer hide a few years back with a product called Tanol. I bought it from J.W. Elwood, who I believe to no longer be in business. The problem I have is that I'd like to tan a coyote and a few muskrats, but can't find the directions that came with the Tanol (I have about 4 or 5 pounds left). Is anyone familiar with this product, and have an idea how it should be used? I can always throw it out and buy something new, but hate to waste.

I have one of the old catalogs and it says it"s the same as Aluminum Sulphate. Hope this helps?
