It works exceptionally well on Domestic Sheep Wool - but will also work on Alpaca and other Wool types. I cant call it a Degreaser in that it removes fat from the skin - but it is exceptional in removing natural oils from Wool, fur or Hair. Once they are removed - the coat takes on a fullness or "puffiness" because there is good seperation and they arent inclined to stick together.

? what is the ph on the degreaser

Bruce
What is the ph on the degreaser ? The mohair gets burned ends ( they dry out and get stiff ) at ph8 and above , I have been adding small amounts of the safty acid ( cap full ) to the 100 oz bottle of detergent to get a neutral ph. But maybe the deegreaser would be better
Also Your tip on preventing the acid swell, to use salt worked . The last skin I dyed I used a pre soak in the pickle ( safty acid /salt/ water ) just before adding the dye and no more jelly hide, that was the problem .
