Fleshing Beam Question

Submitted by Luke on 01/07/2003. ( )

I just bought my first fleshing beam from an internet supplier. It has several small crack running the length of it which i believe are the first visible sign of a larger crack. It also has two drill holes about an inch apart near the tapered end. Is this normal or did i get a dud. Will the crack eventually split off ?

If it didn't appear to be a good product from the start then why question your hard earned money?

You probably got a dud. I am assuming these are drying cracks. Get som bondo and fill the cracks, sand smooth ann seal with a wood sealer. Hope this helps
