i liquitan my capes to be mounted.what benefite would oiling them have on the finished mount?

If your going to oil the hide that's liqua-tanned then your looking for a softer hide as in rug making. Other wise you don't need to oil the hide. I found no real difference in oiling them or not but then again I shave my hides real thin.
Liquid Tan has the oil already in its formula. Its all you need to use to mount deer on a form.
